Analysis of Super Resolution Reconstruction based on Multi - frame Interpolation using Different Ortho - normal Wavelets

In many image or video processing applications, it is often required to increase image resolution. This paper addresses a Super Resolution scheme that reconstructs high resolution images from non-uniformly distributed samples obtained from multiple available sub-pixel shifted low resolution images. In this work, the problem of reconstructing a signal from its non-uniform samples in shift-invariant spaces is studied and a multi-frame wavelet based interpolation (WBI) reconstruction method has been exploited for HR image reconstruction. In addition, the WBI is extended and tested using different orthonormal wavelet filters and the effect of different wavelet filters for different scale factors is analyzed.
